In our next Impulse Session, we will explore the topic of bringing science into application and answer the following questions:

  • What potential does entrepreneurship offer compared to the academic world?
  • How can female scientists drive innovation, and why should women be starting businesses?
  • What challenges need to be overcome, and what are the key success factors?

More about terahertz.NRW and “Women in THz”

With our terahertz.NRW network, we want to harness the disruptive potential of the technology. This involves developing new mobile applications for communication, localization, material characterization, medical technology and environmental monitoring. terahertz.NRW is a network of Fraunhofer FHR, Ruhr-Universität Bochum, University of Duisburg-Essen, Fraunhofer IMS and Bergische Universität Wuppertal, funded by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

With “women in THz”, we want to promote and network female scientists at different career levels in terahertz research, also to increase the representation of female researchers and scientists.
