WP4 provides interdisciplinary research and development projects for a sustainable technology transfer of THz sensor technology into practice. This requires not only the construction of compact sensors in technology platforms that are economically viable in the long term, but also the realization of new sensor concepts using electromagnetic interactions in the THz range. This work package pursues innovative approaches from the fields of high-resolution THz near-field sensor technology, surface functionalization, microfluidics and functionalized microsystem technologies in order to implement highly sensitive THz sensor technology.
